What Is Nixodine?
A synthetic alkaloid that is structurally similar to nicotine but chemically distinct. It contains no nicotine and no tobacco.
Nixodine has been known and studied since the 1950s. When Big Tobacco was under heavy scrutiny from health officials in the 1960s, there was a fear that nicotine would be banned in the US. That concern led to research to create a healthier alternative to nicotine.
How It Works
Nixodine interacts with nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in the brain — the same receptor family targeted by nicotine. Through this pathway, Nixodine is designed to influence neurotransmitter activity, including dopamine and acetylcholine signaling, which are associated with mood and focus.
